Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing phone number?

Igud Leasing passed into the hands of Bank Mizrahi Tefahot without a letter to customers, without a phone number and without an address. When collection began, the customer did not know the company even existed. The company, on the other hand, knew everything about him.

The story in brief

In December 2021 a customer bought a Honda and took a loan of 184,000 shekels from a company called Igud Leasing. His contract points him to Bank Igud: Bank Igud's website, Bank Igud's service channels, "Igud Direct".

A year later Bank Igud no longer existed. On 29 December 2022 it was merged into Bank Mizrahi Tefahot. Igud Leasing got a new name and new owners. Bank Igud's website vanished as if the ground had swallowed it, and with it the phone numbers and email addresses. The customer received no letter, no email and no text message. Nothing.

In October 2023 the war broke out. The customer went to his branch of Bank Mizrahi Tefahot to defer the loan payments and was told there was no loan in his name. During those same months the loan payments kept being debited from his account, at the same bank, until 10 December 2023.

In April 2024 he found the email address of Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing and wrote that he wanted to repay the loan. Nobody answered. The next reply came in the form of enforcement files, information orders, attachments and a travel ban. In one of the files a service report was filed stating that he had been met in Israel and handed the warning personally, while he was abroad, and after the creditor already held the Population Registry's reply on his departures.

Where Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing comes from

According to the company's file at the Israel Corporations Authority:

  1. The company was registered in May 1996 as Igud Leasing Ltd., company number 512317512. Its registered office is at 13 Abba Hillel Silver Street, Lod.
  2. Until the end of 2022 all of its shares were held by Bank Igud Le'Israel Ltd.
  3. On 27 December 2022 the general meeting resolved to change its name. The list of names submitted to the Registrar included "Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing Ltd.", "Leasing Mizrahi Tefahot Ltd." and "Leasing of the M.T. Group Ltd.".
  4. On 29 December 2022 the merger of Bank Igud into Bank Mizrahi Tefahot was completed, as the bank wrote in its 2022 corporate responsibility report.
  5. On 1 January 2023 the Registrar of Companies issued a certificate of change of name. From that day the company is called Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing Ltd.
  6. On the same day, 1 January 2023, all one million shares were transferred from Bank Igud Le'Israel to Bank Mizrahi Tefahot Ltd. The notice of the transfer reached the Registrar only on 24 May 2023, almost five months later.
  7. On 14 September 2023 the English name MIZRAHI - TEFAHOT LEASING LTD was added.

Who owns it and who runs it

According to the company extract from February 2026, the sole shareholder has been Bank Mizrahi Tefahot Ltd. since 1 January 2023. The CEO is Gilad Yeshua. The directors are Avital Lerer, Shabi Shemer, Micha Argaman and Tomer Zeltzer, all since 1 January 2023, and Moshe Kaufman since 1 January 2026. Eli Mizrahi served as a director from 2023 until the end of 2025. Auditors: Brightman Almagor Zohar and Co.

Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing is a wholly owned subsidiary of the bank. And at a hearing in the pledge file it emerged that it does not even have offices of its own.

A company without a door

On 13 January 2026 Yaniv Perlov testified in the pledge file. He had signed, as the representative of Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing, the affidavit on which the file was opened. The customer asked where the company is. Perlov answered: "In Lod". Is there a public reception? "No. These are head offices". Whose? "Of Bank Mizrahi Tefahot".

Then the decisive question: are you an employee of the leasing company, or of Bank Mizrahi Tefahot? "Yes. It is a subsidiary", he answered. In other words, the man who presented himself as the representative of the leasing company is an employee of the bank. A customer who wants to reach the company has nowhere to go. According to the testimony, he can only enter "with me, as the company's representative".

"It only changed its name"

At the same hearing attorney Dotan Tzur, counsel for the receiver, said that the company "was not liquidated and not dissolved, did not merge", and that it "simply changed its name".

The documents tell a different story. The previous owner, Bank Igud, ceased to exist. The new owner is a different bank. All members of the board were appointed on 1 January 2023. The website, the phone numbers and the service channels the contract refers to have disappeared. The only thing that did not change is the company number, which is the one thing that does not interest a customer trying to make a phone call.

The ledger the company presented in the file also reflects the transition. According to the customer, it shows only a name, without an ID number. The customer sees this as a sign that Igud Leasing's systems were moved to Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing as they were, and that customers are located in them by loan number rather than by identity. What became of Bank Igud's customer management system, where his relationship was managed, has not been explained anywhere.

What the contract promised

  1. Section 28: services will be provided by phone, fax, "Igud Direct", internet and SMS, "at the bank".
  2. The fee schedule "will be available to the borrower on Bank Igud's website".
  3. Information about the borrower is held "by the company or by Bank Igud Le'Israel Ltd.".
  4. Section 24: the company may change the terms of the agreement only with at least 21 days' prior notice.
  5. Section 3.1: the borrower may repay early, and the company will not call the loan for immediate repayment without written warning.

On the customer the contract imposes a clear duty: section 19 requires him to give notice by registered mail of any change of address, and if he does not, any letter sent to the old address is deemed received. The company, by contrast, changed its owner, name, website and phone numbers and told him nothing.

What the bank told the public

In its 2022 corporate responsibility report Bank Mizrahi Tefahot wrote that the transition was carried out "in a humane and individual manner", and that Igud customers "expressed their consent to move to Mizrahi-Tefahot and received personal treatment".

The customer in this article expressed no consent and received no personal treatment. According to him, the bank is hiding the records: even after he asked to inspect the information held about him, he received an evasive reply that contained no notice about the transition.

What the bank knew about him

While the customer did not know who held his loan, the bank knew a great deal about him. In the internal records given to him:

  1. 11 December 2023: "the credit card limit was reduced to 1 shekel".
  2. 25 December 2023: "the account was zeroed at the branch, passed to the robot for closure".
  3. 1 April 2024: a balance of 153,026.86 shekels was transferred "for legal handling".

On 14 and 17 April 2024 the customer wrote to leasingsupport@umtb.co.il that he wanted to repay the loan, and that his approaches through Bank Mizrahi Tefahot had been fruitless. This is the address the bank itself publishes today as the service channel of Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing. Nobody answered. Two months later, on 24 June 2024, an enforcement file was opened to realise the pledge on the car.

The investigation nobody "knows"

At the hearing on 13 January 2026 the customer asked Perlov whether in January 2024 the company had received an economic investigation about him, with all his details and phone numbers. "I don't know it", Perlov replied.

Three weeks later, on 4 February 2026, Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing answered the customer's access request. Two items in the reply: "Economic investigation, your request is denied" and "Background check report, your request is denied". The reason: attorney client privilege.

In other words, the investigation exists. The company refuses to show it to the person it was conducted on. In the same reply the company also refused to give him the certificate of change of name, arguing that it is not "personal information concerning you".

The personal information

In the contract with Igud Leasing the customer agreed that information about him would be kept by the company and by Bank Igud, and passed to external bodies for collection purposes, "provided that no information is passed beyond what is necessary".

The customer's position is simple: consent was given to Igud Leasing, under a contract whose every channel ran through Bank Igud. Toward Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing, the company with the new owner, he gave no consent at all. Certainly not to passing information to an investigation firm in order to collect more information about him.

In February 2026 the Privacy Protection Authority published a final opinion on consent. According to published summaries, the Authority holds that consent must be informed, that broad and general wording is not enough, and that consent for one purpose does not permit use for another. The customer regards the collection of information about him as unlawful.

The information orders and the service

In the promissory note file, according to the information orders report, on 18 February 2025 the creditor requested from the Population Registry the customer's "departures and entries from Israel". The reply was received on 12 March 2025.

Five weeks later, on 21 April 2025, according to the report, process server Naamneh Salameh visited the customer's address in Batzra on behalf of the Chen Fisher Gabbay law office, "and during his visit met the addressee". The addressee, it was written, "received the documents and refused to sign". The affidavit was certified by attorney Mahmoud Khalaila. Counsel for the creditor in the file: attorney Victor Fisher.

On that day the customer was not in Israel. These documents show that the creditor and its counsel held his departure records, and that afterwards a report was filed stating that he had been met face to face. The customer regards this as a false report and knowing deception, and is filing a complaint with the Israel Bar Association.

On 21 October 2025, after he discovered the proceedings and submitted his departure records, the enforcement registrar in the note file cancelled the proceedings taken on the basis of the warning service, and the attorney fee that had been added to the debt.

The attachments and the travel ban

In June 2026, after his objection in the note file was dismissed, attachments, realisation orders and restrictions, including a ban on leaving the country, were imposed on the customer within days. According to him, all this was done before any means inquiry was held. The company that did not bother to send him a single letter about the transition knew exactly how to use every enforcement tool the law allows against him.

So what is the phone number of Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing?

Today, on the website of Bank Mizrahi Tefahot: 076-8887080, and by email at leasingsupport@umtb.co.il. Address: 13 Abba Hillel Silver, Lod. No public reception.

In 2023 the customer in this article did not know he had to look for any of this. His contract said "Bank Igud". That bank no longer existed, and nobody bothered to tell him. And when he found the email himself and wrote that he wanted to pay, nobody answered. The only reply he received came from the enforcement office.

An answer is required

From Bank Mizrahi Tefahot and Mizrahi Tefahot Leasing:

  1. Was notice of the transition and of the new service channels sent to Igud Leasing customers? When, by what means and to what address?
  2. On what basis did the corporate responsibility report state that Igud customers "expressed their consent to move"?
  3. Why was the notice of the share transfer of 1 January 2023 filed only on 24 May 2023? And how did Bank Igud transfer shares on 1 January 2023, when its merger was completed on 29 December 2022?
  4. What became of Bank Igud's customer management system, and how is a customer located in it?
  5. Why were the emails of 14 and 17 April 2024 not answered?
  6. Who ordered the economic investigation and the background check report, when, and what personal information was passed to the investigators?
  7. Why did the company's representative say at the hearing that he did not know of the investigation, when the company itself confirmed three weeks later that it exists?

From the Chen Fisher Gabbay law office and attorney Victor Fisher: on what basis was the service report of 21 April 2025 filed, when the parallel file already contained the Population Registry's reply on the customer's departures?
